Claimed they were receiving numerous errors from my IP address. I asked for a case number - microsoft has a standard ticketing number system... this was not it. I hung up. Assuming this is some type of scam for personal info.

He had a thick indian accent and was calling to help me with the hacker that was attacking my computer. He wanted me to press the window key with R which opens a dialog box. Type in a web address. I know that would have installed a virus. Microsoft will never call you like this.

These scammers have called three times today claiming to be from technical support. They said I had a terrible trojan virus. They can barely speak English and are definitely just trying to get you to turn on your computer and follow them to a website.

Introduced himself as "Marv" with a distinct Indian accent. Said they were Microsoft, and that my s/w was expired, and he needed to access my system to "fix" it. Told him I was not interested ande hung up. He called back, enraged that I hung up on him. Told him he was a scammer, and hung up again. He has called 12 more times, and I will not answer him.
