Fast-talking Indian male and if he's here in the US, I'm on the moon. Native Indians talk really fast and this guy was yakking like he was on speed. He gave me the same spiel that was given to Matt. He also tried scare tactics telling me that I needed to be careful with my internet banking and other confidential data and that my identity could be stolen. Yeah, all that could probably happen if I would have gone along with his program. I told him I would look up his company and see if they were legit (they don't seem to be).
I called my ISP and will let them deal with it.

same thing happen to me yesterday. wanted access to my computer. had eastern accent. did not give him access. sounded like a scam

Received call today from "Premium Technical Support" the man had a foreign middle eastern accent but his name was Roger Brown when I ask.He said they provided tech support for Comcast customers. He said our computer email account with Comcast was being hacked and accessed by three different IP addresses and complaints were being registered about our email address sending stuff out. He would not tell me who or what the complaints were about specifically or by whom. He asked me to go to www.support.me so he could fix my computer email issue by accessing my computer as he walked me through the fix. When I questioned his name with his thick foreign accent as well as repeatedly asking him to tell me the IP addresses and emails accessing and complaining he became irritated. This is an identity theft scam. Caution!!!!!

Called and said my email was infected and was spamming out to friends and other people complaining. He wanted access to my computer and would correct the problem. I said I will call police technical support asked for his number he gave me 855-763-0456. I did not call them..Called my Verizon service..and they checked and found it was a scam.

[12:51:07 PM] Stephanie Avery: Just got off the phone with my mom telling me her computer has this bad virus and she let the "Microsoft guy" take control of her computer to 'look around'. Asked her if her bank account info was in there and she said 'yes' .Then he stayed in there for 30 minutes. Got off phone with her, still has control of her computer and she sees it 'working' still, she thinks he is in there cleaning it b/c he still has control of her computer. on top of that, he asks for $388 before he does it!! I just now told her to call her bank immediately and phone company.It is a scam and now her bank account is drained
