I received a similar message Nov. 13, 2014, from a man claiming to be Andy Parker with the Department of Legal Affairs. I, too, could barely understand the message due to a heavy accent, possibly Indian. He said he was calling with regard to "imposemnent actions that have been started on your name." The phone number he gave was 323-786-0626. Needless to say, I did not and will not call it.

Said their was a lawsuit in my name and to call or have my attorney call to avoid legal trouble. Could barely understand the message he left. Heavy accent that I can't identify.

I just received the exact same call and he told me that if I didn't act, that I would be arrested tomorrow. Well I work for a law firm and I took the call to the attorneys and they looked this up and said that it was fraud and not to worry.
"The caller had a very thick Indian accent. I could barely understand him. He said I needed to call as soon as I got the message or to have my legal attorney call. He said if I did not call today he wished me good luck in what was to come of my situation- like a threat. It was very un-nerving. I have no idea what this call was in regards to or how this person got my cell phone number. I called it back and someone with an Indian accent answered saying, " Hello, ____ law firm" I did not catch the name of the law firm."

They told me my "file" would be turned over to a Sheriff that would arrest me tomorrow morning at work for a loan that I did not pay off. I asked how he got my work number. He told me that I provided it on my loan application. That's funny because I just started this job and have not used this number for anything. (that bothers me) I called him a motherfucker and then he started slinging profanities at me like crazy. He actually told me that "God would fuck me". Apparently I am to wait and see what happens in the next 24 hours. Once you let these people know that you are aware of your rights, they generally back off. By the way, White Pages reverse phone look up labels this number as being associated with scammers.

I was left a message from a man with a thick accent, possibly from india...I am not too sure..but he threatened me on the voice mail indicating that if me nor my attorney didn't call him back immediately, I would be sorry. I felt threatened and scared. I called the number back and could barely understand the representative that was on the line...He then called out my name and address, which scared me even more...He never disclosed why he was calling..He just said he was going to send someone to my house..I told him that I felt that this could be some kind of terrorist threat and continued to ask what was the nature of his call....He then asked me was I a nigga and then disconnected the call. What can I do...I don't even feel safe Please give me some advise...I am thinking about going to the police for assistance.
