this is a collection agency claiming to be a law firm or some sort of law ennforcement agency calling and making threats that they know they cannot enforce. any mention of the fair practices act they hang up and dont want to talk anymore.

The initial call came from 248-845-2042, a man identifying himself as "Adam Cruse" stated that this call was for Carrie Marotich and he gave a claim number 183282 stating that I needed to call him to verify my address, as he had documents to forward to me, as I have Charges and a claim against me. I have no charges, my credit report it clean. I've reported this to my local police, but they just told me to ignore them. The caller was very threatening, also, recently I've received 2 letters stating I've taken out 2 different payday advance loans, (which I never had) They offered me a "deal" to only pay half the balance. I am on the do not call registry-I have never taken out a payday advance, this is complete crap. I do not have a criminal record. I wish I could sue these people...

I got a call from them at my job. The receptionist emailed me with a number, no name and that I knew what it was regarding. They also told her that if I don't hear from them, they will come to my job and serve me papers the same day. My attorney said it sounds a little fishy.

Called my job yesterday & left msg in an associate voicemail saying I been served. Later in the day called my sisters left same type of message. Then called my parents and said he was a private investigator etc. and left a file number again to give to me. I called the number back this morning and told them to stop calling my job, family and friends. If they truly had business with me, they should send it to the address they have for me. They just know called and said they were returning my call from the number I used today, and they'd be glad to talk to me since he is a manager of the company. Still no details as to who they are, just says Consolidated. No information related to this number on the internet, except from others regarding scammers.

Call my mom and my brothers home. Said it was an emergency and asked for my number. It was not given. The say they have a claim against me and gave a claim number. I asked to mail any info to my address on record and they said no.
