I too am receiving calls from these people. At first it did not dawn on me that it was a scam because I do owe. But as time went on I began to suspect it. Then after reading all of these comments it reassured me that it was in fact a scam. The heifer I talked to was Kelly. I believe that bitch is bi-polar she would one minute talk to you all nice then the next minute talk crazy to you. I made an arrangement with her but broke it when I got suspicious and Kelly went ballistic. I would not answer her calls and she would call me back to back and wouldn't stop. She called the operator of my job and was talking crazy to her saying that I wouldn't answer the phone. Kelly then demanded to speak with human resources asking what was the procedure of serving me at work for this debt and of course they never showed up. Fast forward to Monday a process server leaves a message saying they have tried to serve me Friday which was also the day that Kelly was doing all that calling. The process server also said that she heard us making noise in the house but we wouldnt answer the door and that she stood outside for about fifteen minutes to see if we would come to the door. I knew it was a lie because I was at work and my children at school. And the kicker is this my kids and I are normally upstairs in my home. There is no way possible she can or could have heard us if we were home at that time. The process server didn't leave a number for herself but left the number for Delaware Assest Mgmt that I called and have spoken with Gwen Powers. I told her the process server was a liar and that they could go ahead and serve me and she said you don't want to make arrangements? So I made one onto a prepaid card that I have not put any funds on and will not. One of the other commenters said if best if a process server is going to serve you they are not going to call you to give you a heads up they just show up.

I got a call from a family member she called, saying that I would be arrested for check fruad, when I called her she was rude,and told me I had three days to pay.Is this a scam?

I paid $600 for a payday loan I thought it was real as I had a couple I was late on so I just believed her but I got concern after some of her comments and threats now I'm waiting to be sued or arrested. I hope it was a scam

I don't know why any of you would ever fall for any of this. There is no debtors prison. You cannot be arrested for a debt you owe. If you actually owe this debt the only one that can sue you to pay it in civil court is the original creditor. Process severs don't call and give you a heads up. Every creditor has to provide you with a valid physical address and they must submit proof of debt in writing if you request. They must also give you 30 days to dispute the debt in writing. This is a scam people. You may or may not owe the debt, but if you pay these people calling, you're surely not paying the person you owe the debt to. Check the FTC and FBI web sites. They explain this scam in detail and how it works. Use common sense.

I just found out I got scammed from this company. They will have all your information and they are very specific. Find out what debt collector has you case before you pay this company any money. I spoke to a Mr. Rush, he knew way to much about me.

I recieved a call from a 'process server' from a blocked number stating I need to call 866-476-4231 to avoid a criminal summons. I speak to Mr. Alan who repeatedly puts my on hold to talk to a 'lawyer' about my case. I just received an email to settle for $3k when I've already paid almost $4k for a $2600 loan. They try to scare you, threaten you, imply that you are not honest and you will be sued if you don't comply with their wishes. They also called my mother and gave her personal information about me. This has to stop. It's out of control and I will contact the attorney general personally about this.

I received a message from our switchboard operator from a Mr Kline ext 127. He told the operator that he wants to know the address of our company so that I can be served papers. I have seen previous comments about this man Mr Kline and his company Delaware Assets Management. I also contacted an attorney that told me that if I have a debt I can deal with the company that sold the debt to Delaware Asset Management ( collection agency ) and deal with them not a harassing,foul mouth, indstigating, collection agency. I have rights under state law that prohibits profane language, threaten arrest, sending documents to a debtor that falsely appear to be from a court or other official agency. calls at work when told no personal calls are permitted.

First a Maria Hawthorne calls then connects you to a LOUD RUDE person named Mr. Kline that uses profane language and accuses you of a crimes and will call over and over and over again threatens to call local authorities. Then a person named Mike Miller calls to warren that a warrant of your arrest will be made. He threatens to now of your where abouts and will call your employer to discuss your private information regarding your personal matters. I did find out from a local attorney regarding my rights under the law. It seems that if several of us get together to report complaints of HARASSMENT FROM DELAWARE ASSET MANAGEMENT we will make a difference under the law. That company and its tacts are as illegal as they say we are.
