This number showed up on my caller ID. No organization name or city though. Usually I don't pick up unidentified calls, but I was expecting a call and I thought it might be from their cell phone, which is why the name didn't show up. A very deep voice said he was calling from the "FOP", which is the" Fraternal Order of Police." He asked if I "would support the police" and wanted to know how much I would donate to the FOP if they "sent me a kit through the mail." I told him that I do support the police, but I am a senior living on a fixed income, which is true. He seemed agitated and raised his stern voice and repeated "how much are you going to donate?" I told him I couldn't even donate $5.00 or I would have to go without food, which was also true. I asked him if he could live on Social Security? I said "sorry" and hung up. He probably earns over $50,000 per year, which he collects from our sales taxes and my property taxes. And he's hitting me up for money? I guess I have to go back to not picking up the phone ever and wait to see if the caller is going to leave a message. I've always thought "blue lives matter," but not when they try to hit me up for money and try to intimidate me. His voice sounded very threatening.

Fraternal Order of Police, actually Scumbuckets, because they are rude and nasty when you don't send them any donation money. Gave up on this lunacy a long time ago. Now, they call DAILY including weekends, sometimes 3-4 times DAILY. LOSERS. Scam artist maniacs. Did the Do Not Call garbage and all the complaint reports. NOTHING WORKS.

Caller identified himself as from the Fraternal Order Of Police and said that the call is recorded then proceed to ask me to pledge a donation. I declined and said that I've already talked to someone a few months ago but never got the pledge kit as promised thus I'm wary about his call. The caller said he understand and thanked me for my time then hung up. Very suspicious since I'd expect him to verify the pervious donation pledge and track down the missing pledge kit.

The Caller ID shows up as "I " They Claim they are the Fraternal Order of Police They are asking for a money pledge and want your Full Name,Address, age and Credit Card Number - DO NOT give this kinda information to ANYONE - I'm not sure they are who they say they are but I do know they have been calling for about a week and a man leaves a message asking for my husband by his first name then there is a few moments of silence then the strangest thing happens I hear my husbands voice say hello <> Its like they have a recording of his voice saying hello on the phone and they are playing it back...Very STRANGE!

This number called at 9:25AM... Caller-ID "Sunnyvale CA" (San Francisco area)... I answered. I said Hello. Long pause of about 5 seconds and then a male voice says, "Hello?" I said Hello again. Then a recording started. The male voice with southern-twang recording claims to be from FRATERNAL ORDER of POLICE (FOP) and the recording goes on to say that they're seeking money (go figure), allegedly for Officers who've suffered "catastrophic injury" on the job and so on, and so forth. I hung up after about another 15 seconds and didn't finish the call so I don't know if they're selling something or just begging for money. The call/recording sounded bogus and I highly doubt this has anything to do with the FOP. While the FOP east of the Mississip on the east coast is a formidable Union organization for Police, the FOP in the west, and especially in California, is a very small "alternative" organization for Police Officers -- if they want to join. West coast Police Officers have their own individual Unions and Associations so the FOP holds no sway anywhere around here in California at all.

It's one of the Fraternal Order of Police scams. They say that they want you to remember to buckle up and then try to send you their crap. They also throw in "from [telemarketer name]" because they have to. As soon as you hear that part, you know it's a scam. Give to your local police, fire, and EMS.

They have been calling for months and we've never picked up. I felt guilty because a is a cop and the caller ID said Fraternal Order of Police. I donated money. Now I feel like an idiot because I understand no money will even be going to the police and they'll be calling all the time. I don't even know who has my card info. I called right away to cancel the charge but the company says I can't until the charge appears.

Caller ID showed "Marysville, WA". This telemarketer is surreptitiously trying to make their calls look like a legitimate call from someone you might know instead of identifying their true name on Caller ID. I got the call at 3:24PM in the afternoon of 6/23/2009 when I was home sick and asleep. The call woke me up, and for what?! For some dumb telemarketer call? And then after the guy gave me his spiel and I said I wasn't interested, he "kindly" asked if they could call on me again in several months for their next drive, and I said I don't like getting calls like this. And then he said some words in his nicest, yet comtemptuous voice, he could muster thanking me for taking the time to hear about their program and he said it as fast as he could and hung up on me. All these telemarketers are the same! They are either rude to you to your face, or they are rude despite their facade. Why is this even a real job in this country? I wouldn't have answered at all but I thought I might know someone in Marysville, and that perhaps it was a cell phone call or a call from someone who just got a new number.
