This person called and left me a voice mail saying either myself or my lawyer needs to call them by the end of the day to avoid being governed and a warrant for my arrest will be issued and they will come to my home or job to arrest me although they will give me any info about thier so called claim except that I owe money to advance payday loan or something like that she was rude. When denied her my ss# and said fine be that way goto jail up to me and good luck

Left a message saying to call about a case that has been filed. Wanted to know if this was done intentionally or if I am unaware of a worthless check. Called the number 913-586-0334 and got a voicemail for Patricia Green. Said if call was not returned by me or attorney they would file charges. Then she closed with good luck.

Calling to let me know they were putting a federal warrant for my arrest and to let me know I could have an attorney present and if I didn't call them back I will be arrested. Have not used paper check in about 7 years and never made a check out for large amounts of money to warrant a federal indictment gave a case as Pl9928. Traced the call from Ohio, I live in Texas!

Yes, you would have told them to drop dead. But then again you're coming from a very deiferfnt place in life than your average McDonald's employee, who is there because they have far fewer options than you do. (Ever have a 'doctor' ask if you'd like fries with that?) One's situation in life tends to define self-esteeem, which is built up slowly and torn down quickly - I'm sure you're well aware of the dynamics here (though not all your readers will be).Ironically, a lot of us saw a documentary on the on cable (History Channel I think) right around the time this incident happened. I fully accept the point of it, and would just as soon it was not re-enacted again.

Thanks for your comment. You're right that you can never be too cfruael and this also applies to just about everything in the world that we live in. Another word of advice is to be cfruael when opening up attachments in emails that are sent from someone where you don't recognize the sender or just clicking on links embedded in an email.

Called claiming they were from the "fraud and worthless claim division." A woman who claimed to be a "senior investigator" got on the phone and asked me for my social security number. When I refused, she started screaming, claiming that they were going to have me picked up by the police and I could then verify it to the judge if I liked. I still refused, and she said, "I hope you like it in jail," and hung up.
I haven't had a checking account in almost 7 years, and the statute of limitations on bounced checks is generally around 2 years, meaning this is some company who purchased a check I might've bounced a decade ago, for pennies on the dollar, and they're going to try and scare me into paying them for it.
These are bottom feeders of the worst kind. If they call and threaten you, don't worry. They have zero ability to do anything.

I just got 2 calls, one last week and one this week, on my work phone from nancy blackwell telling me that she is from the fraud and worthless check division and going to do service fo process if I don't call her back and I need my attorney present. she was from texas 512.640.3652 or 3677. This feels and sounds like a scam. I had somone from overseas years ago that kept doing this to me as well..... Did you find out if it was a scam?
