i received the same call. i called back and said i knew they were fake and i contacted the police and he said 'go down the police station and just turn yourself in for something about a forged instrument' lol are you serious? they went down the line and called all my family from my maiden name. lied about a loan i supposedly took out that i never even heard of. but they had my soc#, address, and all my info. said theyve been trying to contact me for 6 years. then why just NOW did we hear from you! ##SCAM##

I applied for a cash advance loan for $500 with several companies. GE Money Services called me and told me I had to come up with $100 up front in order to get the loan. I paid them then they called me back and asked for $50 more. They just called me saying I can't get the loan unless I pay them another $50. I believe I was robbed of $150.

I have been getting numerous calls from this number for a couple of months now. The caller leaves his first name, "Jordan", but never a company name. He says he has legal papers he is trying to serve, or that he has already attempted to serve, and that I can avoid a hassle if I call him back and try to sort the matter out voluntarily. I got the suspicion that it was a scam because he never mentioned a company name, and because process servers do not call you, they come to find you in person. I would love to report these people but with just an 800 number and some guy's first name (probably fake), it doesn't seem like I can really do much.

This company mentioned they were acting on behalf of mastercard debt collector. I believe the debt is valid, but they are not acting on behalf of the valid debt. I spoke with my business lawyer, she mentioned Fair Debt Collection Act, requires the company to provide specific proof of debt, when I spoke with Jordan, he could not provide that information, which is against the law and the company can be penalized for contacting someone without having that proof. Also, they do not have an actual address, the address listed is a Postal Office. Please be cautious if you have outstanding debt and make sure they can offer valid information before making payment
