THESE PEOPLE ARE TOTAL SCAM ARTISTS! Here's my story. Unidentified caller from a local number (330) 238-1321. The message gave a file number and this number to call. I called them and they answered as Global Services and gave their name as Roslyn Baxter. They knew my name, since I called from the number they left the message, plus the last 4 of my social. This person was very short with me demanding the money for a payday lender who is actually a debt collector for credit card accounts, something a little research found. They also said it was from 2012. I told the person in my state payday loans can only be collected on for 3 years after that time it cannot be collected, I asked an attorney friend about this for problems I had a while back. I then informed them I was filing bankruptcy and since they are trying to collect on something they need to speak with him. I was told this has not been put on my credit report so it can't be included in a bankruptcy but the company they represent is pursuing a court case unless payment in full is made. I told them go ahead, once the court papers are filed my attorney will do what needs to be done and it will be in the bankruptcy. Plus, I said why should I worry about something which is not reported to my credit report. At this point they got VERY hostile calling me names and questioning my heritage and my honor as a human being. I never raised my voice and told this person to please take me attorney's information because I am not to discuss any debt. They said, "I know how you people are, stealing everyone's money." and hung up. I don't know who "those people are" but what a way to try and make a living.
