They are calling older people telling them they have a virus on their Windows 7 computer and trying to get information so they can remote in and help them clean it off. This is a very devious scam because once they are in your computer they can get all of your personal info:

Got a call from this person (David)- spoke spanish and told me that my husband had a letter that the post office was holding. He asked me whom he was speaking to document and I gave him my name. He then asked me if I had received a yellow postcard in the mail that was sent out yesterday and I told him that I had not. He gave me a number so that my husband could go and pick up the letter if we did not receive the note today. He then asked me if I was 18 years or older and I said I was; and he asked for my date of birth, which I gave because I was thinking regarding security reasons. As soon as I gave him my date of birth he hung up. I tried calling the number back twice and the message that came up was that the number was disconnected.

Got an unsolicited call from David, 645-781-2458, at 3:19 PM, Apr 17, 2013. Male caller, Indian accent, said he was from "Computer Maintenance." He said they's received a report from my number that my computer was running slow. I said I didn't recall making such a report. He said maybe it was someone else in your home. He asked to let him do a free online analysis of my computer's operation to diagnose why its running slowly and then take steps to repair it. I decided to pay along and said it sounds like a good idea, but I was just leaving for an appointment, and asked him to give me his telephone number. Long story short, he couldn't give his number out, but could call me back tomorrow. I said to call at 3:30 PM (EST) April 18, 2013.
