They said that i had legal actions against me and when i questioned who they were he got bothered and said he would take me to court.
i told him, how can you take me to court, when i have not been served with whatever it is that is wrong, the IRS and US Govt. does not randomly call you and start asking you questions, they mail you the issue if any.

Man with foreign accent said I was being sued. When I told him I didn't believe him, he got agitated. When I asked for a number to call him back he gave me 213-261-0722. I told him I wouldn't be calling him back - send it in the mail on official letterhead. After awhile I asked him how the weather was in India today and he hung up. Scammer.

They called my home on 4/15 and left msg saying from dept of legal affairs and to call immediately regarding an important legal matter. I called and they said they were collecting a IRS debt. Had my address and phone number. Started asking for more info and I said I wasn't going to provide any additional info to them. Said they would settle for $2,000. I do owe back taxes but had worked out a deferment with the IRS due to being unemployed. They said they would transfer me to the department that could take my payment. I said this sounded like a scam and the guy said there would be someone at my door within 2 hours to arrest me and this was a non bondable arrest. I was freaking out until, thank God, I saw the posts regarding this on the internet. Thank goodness for sites like this!
