This is a scam! I got someone from PSE&G call me from 18004367734 saying they are shutting off my electricity in half an hour and told me to call 8552217306 to resolve it. Then the guy asked me to go to CVS or Rite Aid to buy $1000 worth of green dot or money pak to give to them. I'm not an idiot. They kept calling me back from 18006424272 as well. Beware. Don't believe all the fake comments about these scammers being legit. We have rights, they need to give you at least 10 days written notice. And they won't shut off your electricity from Friday to Sunday and Holidays.

Person named Kevin phoned me just 15 minutes ago asking me to go to my computer to perform certain functions. He said he works for Windows Support and that he wanted to warn me about errors that he was receiving from my computer. He gave me a long set of digits/letters that he said were my computer ID.
This is a total scam...confirmed it by googling this. They are using this number along with the extension 111. Accent of the person sounded Asian (but I could be mistaken).
BEWARE !!! SCAM !!! SCAM !!!!
They will change the settings on your computer and then ask you for your credit card to reverse what they have done, and they get access to your personal informaation.

I have received 5 phone calls in the last 48 hours now. Each time the caller says my auto insurance rate is going down 35% and he needs to just verify my information. He has my name, address, and obviously phone #. But he also wants to verify the kind of car I drive, which he has listed incorrectly with a car I have NEVER owned. Each time I have been adament that I'm NOT interested, please stop calling. It has gotten to the point of harrasment considering I am no longer being nice when I speak to them but they persist to want to continue the conversation each time saying "its in my best interest to verify the information"

I spent a bunch of minutes talking to, and listening to, this aggressive South Asian male. He told me that Microsoft computers in PA were infected with "critical errors" and that he had 17,000 calls to make to people, on behalf of Microsoft, to alert people to the problem. He told me to go to my computer and, following his instructions, input information so as to rid my computer of these critical errors. What troubled me were the situations of his asking for my mother (who has never touched a computer in her life), my own life with computer-owning for 12 years never having prompted such a call, and his aggressive, urgent insistence I input instructions from him into my computer. I ended the call with this man and immediately called my phone company to ask them, and tell them, about this call. Customer service told me that this man, who sounded about as much like a "Kevin" as Kissinger sounds like Nancy Kwan, was fishing/phishing. I venture he will successfully hook someone, but not me today.

WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service today warned consumers about a sophisticated phone scam targeting taxpayers, including recent immigrants, throughout the country.
Victims are told they owe money to the IRS and it must be paid promptly through a pre-loaded debit card or wire transfer. If the victim refuses to cooperate, they are then threatened with arrest, deportation or suspension of a business or driver’s license. In many cases, the caller becomes hostile and insulting.
“This scam has hit taxpayers in nearly every state in the country. We want to educate taxpayers so they can help protect themselves. Rest assured, we do not and will not ask for credit card numbers over the phone, nor request a pre-paid debit card or wire transfer,” says IRS Acting Commissioner Danny Werfel. “If someone unexpectedly calls claiming to be from the IRS and threatens police arrest, deportation or license revocation if you don’t pay immediately, that is a sign that it really isn’t the IRS calling.” Werfel noted that the first IRS contact with taxpayers on a tax issue is likely to occur via mail
Other characteristics of this scam include:
Scammers use fake names and IRS badge numbers. They generally use common names and surnames to identify themselves.
Scammers may be able to recite the last four digits of a victim’s Social Security Number.
Scammers spoof the IRS toll-free number on caller ID to make it appear that it’s the IRS calling.

Despite being on the National Do Not Call list, I received a robocall from K and F Restoration - press 9 to speak with someone for more info. The message was intriguing so pressed 9 and inquired about having my house power washed. The worker arrived at my house in an unmarked truck, couldn't provide an invoice, no business card, etc. I then changed my mind. Kevin - Kevin Slusser aka Kevin Fitzpatrick, then verbally abused and threatened me over the phone, calling me the N word 2x. I continue to receive his robocalls for air duct cleaning. I have reported him to the BBB, police, do not call list, etc. Here are some other names for his companies: K and F Restoration, Collegiate Carpet/Floor Care, Kevin's Duct Cleaning, Kevin's Cleaning Service. Just google "Kevin Slusser cleaning" and see what you come up with.

Today I received a phone call from this number claiming he was from the IRS and that I was being brought to justice for tax fraud from 2010-2012, and kept asking if I had a lawyer. The Guy sounded foreign. At the end of the conversation I asked his name and for a case number. He gave me a total American name like Kevin Conner and hurriedly hung up when asked for a case number. I do believe this is a scam.
