I received a call today...then I researched the COUNTRY code...the call originates from IRAN (NOT Michigan). They are trying to hack your computers via the internet. If you tell them you have dial-up, they stop calling. Hope this is helpful....

This is a new one that I heard at a business and now I get the call at 11:30 at night. They want to act like they are from Microsoft and there is an issue with your computer. All they want to do is get into your computer so they can still your identity.

The caller had a foreign accent of some type that I didn't recognize. He said they had received some kind of issue originating from my computer. This is one of several such calls I have received and when they tell me they have received these notices I tell them, "No, you haven't" and hang up. It is apparent to me that the National Do Not Call Registry is uninforced and might as well not exist.
