The bad news: Card Services calls aren't going to stop anytime soon.
The good news: You can retaliate, reduce the misery, and even have some fun.
RETALIATE:
Waste these turkeys' time. Keep them on the line by acting like an interested prospect. Give them bogus data, including a combination of two different credit card numbers, scrambled Social Security digits, and a ZIP Code that's slightly off. Note: providing a credit card company's real 800 number is key to prolonging the call.
After they call the credit card company, you can give them the same credit card info as before with two of the numbers transposed, thus causing them to make a second verification call. Or you can respond, "Guess what ... H-O-O-N-N-K-K [from a $6 air horn] you've been PRANKED! Call back tomorrow for more bullshot." Now they're the butt of your joke rather than you the victim of their harassment.
REDUCE THE MISERY:
Landlines. Enroll for the free service at nomorobo.com. Simultaneous ringing, a feature you can enable with many providers, enables nomorobo to receive, answer and, after one ring, hang up on nuisance telephone numbers.
Cell phones. Block the number, an option that becomes available on the iPhone if you click on the "i" on the right in the list of recent calls and scroll to the bottom. Unfortunately, Card Services will keep calling from new spoofed numbers, which eventually should motivate you to retaliate.
HAVE FUN:
Turning the tables on the perpetrators with mischievous deception and the news they've been duped provides instantaneous vigilante satisfaction. Plus you serve your fellow call recipients by slowing down this evil operation's efforts to defraud them.

I am certain this is a violation of the 'DNC' laws. They have now begun using my specific AC in getting me to answer. Verizon says I can block a certain number of numbers thru them for a fee but if they keep changing numbers that soon gets tiresome and expensive.

JUST got a call with a pre-recorded message (from the number 856-302-4117). Just another stupid "lower you credit card interest rate now". Also, said I could press 1 for something, 2 for something else, and 3 for another option. Pressed one, and of course I was disconnected. What's worse: their calls, or that Verizon charges me for them?!

This was a recorded message that I have received about 15 times in the last 3 weeks. Push "1" to speak with a representative, push "2" to be removed from our calling list. My number is on the Texas "do not call" registry, I've pushed "2" multiple times and the calls keep coming. I have pushed "1" and told the person who answers to please remove my name. The first one said "okay" and made me feel like he really removed my number (ha!ha!), the second and third times, they just hang up when they discover I am complaining and not buying their product. Who do I complain to?

Callers claim to be Ann from Political Polls of America or other lies.
"Political Survey" is their excuse to circumvent the National Do Not Call regulations. They claim if I take the survey I'd receive a free 2 day cruise to the Bahamas. Truth is - hard sell of condo-timeshare! There are actually two scams here, the initial cold-call canvassers who get paid by the "free vacation" crew who trap you on a cruise for high pressure vacation rental sales.
They also abuse these numbers:
253-382-9912 360-474-3924 502-468-5198 502-632-4428 502-873-0246 503-902-8103 971-229-1183.
