Received 2 calls today with the same message left on my cell phone. Speaking with some type of accent.
"My name is Officer Andrew Stainley. The hotline to my division is 804-414-2453. I repeat my number is 804-414-2553. Now don't try to disregard this message and do return the call. If you don't return the call or I don't hear from your attorney either then the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as the situation badly unfolds on you. So give me a call back as soon as you get this message. Thank you"
No idea who this is. The beginning of the message was actually cutoff.

Same story as Sandi here. My computer was sending them a signal, they claimed. They had me go into Windows management, and showed me application logs that had red and yellow warnings. I didn't trust them, and ended the conversation. I then wiped my C drive clean, but the windows warnings were deeper than that. They still appeared. I called this number, which they gave me to verify it was a real place. Tried at different times, but they didn't pick up. Then they called back, saying that they had seen I had called. They then had me type something in a run box, which brought up a black window with a cursor. Again I typed something, and information came out. One line they said was my customer id for windows. They read it over the phone to prove that they knew me. It was the same number. They did know my name and address as well. Long story short, I let them access my computer, and they went straight to the same application logs, and ran a few things in a black box with a cursor. They said my windows security had expired. All of this took just a few minutes, though, and then the cursor stopped, while the guy on the phone started telling me about viruses and how I picked them up etc., how they were fixing everything, and I wouldn't even need an anti-virus program in the future. I mentioned to him that the cursor had stopped, and right away he starts moving it, not doing much. I lost them on my internet phone then, which upset them. They started communicating through notepad on my computer, until I was able to reset my phone. Anyway, eventually they hit me with the cost of their services, which they led me to believe were free. They wanted $199, and I gave them a few choice words, and disconnected my internet. Were they only interested in trying to get money out of me? I don't know. They could have been working behind the scenes for all I know. Silly me. Now I have to find out about wiping the entire hard drive clean. Beware. Oh, and the name given here by the tech was Daniel Jackson. He sounded foreign like Sandi's guy as well.

I received a phone call on 7/20/2013 from someone saying my PC was "sending error messages that showed it had bad virus causing damage" that they needed to remove. My caller ID showed his phone number as "asterisk", so I knew it was a scam. Acting like I believed him, I let him lead me through steps that would give him control of my PC, pressing him for info and got from his fake name David Ellis (heavy Asian accent), company name 99EastTech(something or other) in Florida. Static made us hang up (my ploy to see how far I could get him). He called back! He gave a phone number of 918-615-4972 which traces to Broken Arrow, OK and a company (LEVEL 3 COMMUNICATIONS LLC - OK). At a point where next step would give him control, I got his address as 4140 Jason Rd, Springhill, FL. I stopped and hung up. Using Whitepages (dot) com I tracked the address to 5 names: Eric Smith, Diane J Smith, Allison A Smith, Jason A Smith, and "online pc care help", which returns phone number 818-827-1313 which traces to North Hollywood, CA and the company PAETEC COMMUNICATIONS INC - CA in Sun Valley. Maybe a cell phone number and they could really be in Florida trying to pull this scam to get into peoples PCs to do damage, steal private info, set them up to robotically invade other PCs? You can report this info at www.IC3.gov (Internet Crimes Unit) or USA.gov for investigation. I haven't the energy to pursue it.

This number has been calling me for over a year. Never left a message, just hangs up. I called them because I got sick of it. I left my number (not name or other info). Then I got a call from a woman who told me her name was Jennifer. Somehow she had my name (but I would not verify who I was), so she refused to tell me anything other than her first name. She tried to tell me I called them and she was simply returning my call. When I stated that I have been getting hangups from this number for over a year and I was calling to tell them to never call me again, the tone of the conversation changed. She talked over me and refused to hear that I don’t want calls from this number. It's not right that someone call you, and ask who you are and ask you to verify information about yourself - especially if they won't tell you who they are or why they are calling. Yes, I lost it on her. Called her back and Nicole(?) answered. I got the words, “Remove my..” and she hung up on me. Called again and got the voice mail box of “Jackie” or “Jackie-lee”.

These folks are really REALLY persistent in their calling habits.
I started getting calls two days ago, 7 February 2016. I received 6 calls from this number within a 20 minute period. The 1st call only had the number listed on my display. The last 5 had "Farrem" listed as the caller name. I then placed the number in my "Call Block" option.
Yesterday, I got 4 calls in a row. One ring and my phone did whatever it does to the caller. The name listed was "shala" on all the calls.
So far today, I've had 3 calls in a row. The name listed was "ibrahimm". Only the first caller listed a name that was capitalized. I have not answered any of the calls.
So, 6 calls, then 4, and today 3. Maybe they are learning! btw, I got the following warning on callercomplaints.com:
"Spoofed Numbers: Caution, 647-479-7052 is a "spoofed" number, which means that whoever called you "tricked" your caller ID to display an incorrect phone number. Telemarketers do this so you cannot complain, but they failed... you can still file a complaint here to fight back against unethical telemarketers."
