He called me today and told me he was from Microsoft and my Windows on my computer told him I have malware on it! I laughed at him and asked him "well how does he know?" I couldn't really understand him cause of course he hardly spoke english! I laughed as he kept talking about how my computer contacted him! I told him him that funny that my computer with windows could have contacted him because I HAVE A MAC!! I told him he is a scammer and he best not ever call my house again! He apoligized and said his tech's must had mis understood! LMAO - Really he also told me he was in New York and I told him that was interesteing since he was calling from a Idaho phone number - he didnt know what to say!! How stupid do you think I am??? I hope more people hav the know how to tell them where to go!! :D

Person with Indian accent on a bad connection claiming they were from Microsoft. Had me do various things on the computer, running "assoc" from cmd, open Event Log and said the errors listed would eventually crash my system.
They really wanted to remote connect through Team Viewer.

Foreign Accent and sound like from Pakistan very strange with other people helping caller speak.
Told him not to call again your are a FRAUD and hung up - Noticed call was a delayed answer aprox 10 seconds very telling a robot call.

This person called me with a thick indian accent and I let him think that I was doing what he wanted... Then I handed my USMC husband the phone... he messed with them for a while as well. Then the man on the phone said that our computer was in danger... so my husband said "The only thing my computer is in danger of is a terrorist attack" and then hung up :)

The usual you we are getting an error message from your computer that you are unaware of. Stated he was in Houston and worked for Microsoft. When i asked for his name he gave Yellow Yakada. I asked for his phone number just incase we lost the connection and he hung up

I got a call from the same number. They said it was the "Windows Service Center" from "Star-something Solutions" (not Microsoft). I could barely understand the person with their accent, so I doubt it was a US-based call. If I had to guess, I'd say the accent seemed Korean (I'm pretty sure it wasn't Chinese). He said he was calling from Buffalo, NY, but told me his phone number was 334-880-8480, which is Alabama and gives a busy signal. After trying to pull info from him for 5m, I finally just hung up. I should've stuck it out to see what he was trying to get me to do.

Got a call. He said that he got my phone number through my IP address and is getting spam e-mails. He said that he works with Microsoft and there is a setting that is not enabled on my computer. He asked me when the last time was that I was on the internet. Then he asked if I was the one that works on my computer, or is it a computer shop that does any repairs. He then wanted me to go to my computer and work on it with him while he was on the line. I told him that my computer was not accessable at the time. He then asked if he can call me back later in the day when it is. He said that he will call me back around 9 PM tonight. I think that he is lying and misrepresenting himself. When he calls, there is no name under the call display. How am I supposto know who this guy is? He could be trying to hack into my computer for all I know. I will also be notifying Microsoft about these guys.

Hey, this guys of tel# 213-261-7441 are KEEP calling past 2 wks, greatly HARM my business, (cause they don't take NO for an answer) and basically, harassing me. (Also they had a BIG RUDE attitude.) I ask them to send me an written documentations to proof that we(my business) are having a problem, and IF they're truly from Microsoft DEPT. Because I do have own computer engeneering people who take cares of my computer system, comes to my office every 2wks to ck up viruses and other things. My people informs me of any other details via clear, written Paperwork, and explains what's going on in a very careful, professional manner. BUT what these people of so called Microsoft told me is that they cannot correspond via email or fax or mail, to send me the proof, and they can ONLY indicate the direction via phone calls!! I asked them to contact my computer person to handle this matter, but instead they insists me to deal with them. VERY Suspicious behavior, isn't it?? And I don't want to get involved with frauds anymore, so I really need to see they are indeed Microsoft people. and One more thing, FYI: I called to Microsoft tech 800 # and asked if there is a dept like this and you know what? the answer is NO.

Telling me Microsoft will no longer provide support and updates for Windows XP as of July 13, 2010. Microsoft Site states 8/2014. This fellow 'pushing me' to upgrade to Window 7 and when I told him I'd contact my software vendor, tried to get their name and number so he could call instead ( for me ) - Rude person. I have it recorded - I finally just hung up.
My son worked the Help Desk for Microsoft and they would never allow a person like this on the phone talking to the public like he did.
If this truly is Microsoft, Chris Perez (alias no doubt) should be fired.

I got this call today on my cellphone. The number that appeared on caller ID was 1900142...very strange..he had a very heavy middle eastern accent. He said he was a MICROSOFT ENGINEER and that my computer was hacked. He said it was very dangerous that my computer was not protected and I needed his help. He wanted me to get my computer. I said I have my IPad he said no no I need to log on to my computer. I said I haven't used my computer for months, only my IPad. He said, "oh my GOD".. Yes that's what he said, not "Allah" or "Allah Akbar" he said, "oh my God" you must get your computer on, it's very serious. I asked him what he was selling, he said "I don't sell anything I need to help you, I'm MICROSOFT ENGINEER to help you. I told him to give me his number and I'll call him back he gave me 213-457-3846. I've had malware viruses, I've had my credit cards and bank account hacked, so I am very suspicious about everything. So glad I didn't fall for this.
