Tried to arrange a time to call to fix our computer
Caller type: Scammer
Company: Microsoft
Number: 989-621-5106
The lady who called first hung up when I told her she was a scammer. Then this "Robert" guy called me right back with a 9008 displayed number on my caller ID and stated that he was going to shut my computer operating system down if I didn't speak with him. LOL. I dared him to and hung up on him.

As mentioned above a person from India calls saying they are from Microsoft support and they have found a virus on my computer that they need to fix. After being transferred to a second person who wants to verify that the virus is on my PC you are transferred to a third person. They want to get permission to log into your PC so they can "install the fix". This is a scam.

First a girl said they were calling because they were getting reports of a technical problem on my computer. English was not this woman's first language, but I'm not familiar with the accent. India or Pakistan, perhaps. She gave me a long number, saying that was my computer's ID number, or something, very hard to understand. Then her 'supervisor' said I was to type a command into my Run: box on the C drive. When I said No way. Do you even know who I am? And she gave the name of the person who had my phone number before I did. (I get a lot of calls for her). I said, That person no longer has this number. She hung up.

This caller claims to work for Microsoft technical support. He told me that I and lots of other people have a bad virus and IE has sent many error reports that IE has to close down (this has happened many time with my PC) and he told me other things that were happening to my PC that were true, I didn't tell him anything about the problems I'm having, HE TOLD ME so I asked a few questions from a past experience I had help with, so I let him into my PC he said it will take about an hour to repair all the problems and not to shut my PC down or it will never re-start again. SO I watched him do a few things and then he went to WESTERN UNION and started sending money transfer's of 199.00 and 200.00 (not my money)to a person named PATRICIA LETTS in the USA from AFGANASTAN + so I took some pictures of the 2 transfer's really quick and unplugged my PC, I waited a while, plugged PC in and on, he had turned off all my security, it took me a while to get security back on and did a lot of cleaning several times, PC seems ok for now,I got tracking numbers, I think I need to send this info to Microsoft and probably the police. I still get calls from that number but I wont be stupid twice.

He knew my legal name. I also have an unlisted phone number and am on the do not call list. He said he was calling about a payment that I made in Feb. of last year about my computer maintenance program. He also called yesterday, but I was not home. Did not leave a message then. Caller ID says that it was a Skype Caller. He has an Indian accent and the connection was not good, so I could barely understand him. I told him so and asked him to send me an email. He said he would. He politely hung up. I do not shop at Target, but I did charge at Kohl's. I lost my wallet 3 weeks ago. My credit card was in there. I do not have a Skype account, either.

I just got a call from these idiots. The caller claimed to be from Microsoft stating they were getting errors from my computer. He asked if I was near it. I said, yes it is right here. He asked me how old it was. I yelled " Don't you know. I mean, your from Microsoft you F^cking Idiot. Wont the errors tell you what my Operating system is?" Can you believe he hung up on me?
I am sure he was expecting someone OTHER than a programmer who would freak out and give cc info instantly to save their computer. What an a**. I am just glad I got a good kick in before he hung up.
